Elizabeth is 9 months old!

It is just a few days before Christmas. I can hardly believe that Elizabeth is 9 months old. I still try to call her Elizabeth even though everyone seems to think her name is Lizzy, including Zac. I met up with some old friends the other day. They asked what her name was again. I replied "Elizabeth" at the same moment someone replied "Lizzy". I was asked why I reply Elizabeth when we call her Lizzy so much more. Well, I love the name Elizabeth, that is why I named her Elizabeth. I grew up with two girls named Elizabeth, one went by Elizabeth the other went by Lizzy. Both go by Liz now. I figure if I keep Elizabeth going as she grows she can choose what she prefers. Maybe someday it will be Beth. That said Elizabeth has several nicknames and they increase. Lizzy, Lizzy Lou, Little Bit, Princess, Sweet Heart, Baby Girl, Little Miss Sissy, Sister, Little One and Miss Eliza. It is a wonder she responds to any of them ;)

This month she discovered the joy of chicken nuggets and macaroni and cheese. While eating she becomes more demanding that she feeds herself. We have to give her 2 spoons so food will get into her mouth. She has amazing extendo arms and can reach any toy or treat that is "out of reach. " She loves to stand and hold onto any item except hands. She is miss independent. Anything her brother is playing with is always more fun. She is happiest in his room or following him like a shadow. "Dada" is her favorite word after "ak" which I a pretty sure is Zac. She loves to play peekaboo, roll the ball and patty cake. I love this little girl!
