Festivities at the Festival

As I enter the busy halls of the Festival of Trees it feels like I am ringing in the Christmas portion of the holiday season. The noise, trees, lights and smells remind me of Christmas. I have gone several years now, but this year we decided to go on Friday and at 3pm. Never again! It was crazy busy at that time, add on a busy 2 year old, a tired pregnant Mommy and I was exhausted after 30 minutes. Next year we will go earlier in the week and during the morning.
Zac was very excited to see all the cool trees and decorations of his favorite Christmas characters. The trick for me was to keep him on the aisle side of the chain.
Thank goodness for his monkey leash. He is happy to wear the monkey and it keeps him near me. Judge me if you want, this little attachment has been so helpful when we are in a busy place since Zac likes to explore and doesn't want to hold my hand.

The coolest display was the  Peanuts tree with the giant Snoopy and dog house. Trying to get a picture of the kids with the display was tricky.
Attempt 1

Attempt 2

Attempt 3- didn't even see him grab the "snow"

Attempt 4- oh well it was a cute tree display

My favorite stop at the Festival of Trees is to visit Santa. He is a great Santa and the display is perfect. Zac was happy to sit on Santa's lap when he realized he was getting a candy! Unfortunately the candy cane was cherry and not peppermint (his favorite). He was covered in pink sticky, spit it out and gave it to me when he realized it wasn't what he wanted.
Oh well I got the smile I wanted even if they candy wasn't what he was hoping for! :)

Super cute picture of Allison, Isaac, Kyle and Lisa with Santa (still waiting to get the picture Lisa took of Zac and I hint hint)

While Santa was distracted talking to Allison and Isaac, Zac was trying to steal another candy cane. Sneaky!
Great Grandma GG and Grandma Joan came along for the fun of it. I think they both enjoyed looking at all the beautiful decorations, but just like me they were tired. We all went home worn out and ready to start the Christmas season.
