The Survey Says.....

 Thursday was a LONG day. I was eager to find out what our little baby was going to be. Our ultrasound appointment was at 3pm. Zac was able to spend some play time at Aunt Barbara's while Doug and I went in for the appointment. The technician was very nice she calmed any possible worries by showing us the baby's heart beat right away. We both took a deep breath and she continued to search for the gender. Quickly she was able to see that we are having a little GIRL! Baby Rose wins for the fetus name! She said "What a nice family it will be! Are you going to cry because it is a girl?" I didn't think I would, but as soon as she said the words cry I did. Tears ran down as I thought about my feelings I have had this pregnancy. I am very excited to meet our little girl and hold her in my arms. Baby Rose moved her arms, stretched and kicked. She did the cutest yawn and crossed her ankles most of the time we watched her.

When we showed the video to Zac he said "Scary" when the 3D images were on the screen. I have to agree, the 3D is a little odd looking, but still cool.

This ultrasound shot looks completely different than Zac's I am pretty sure is right and that this baby is a girl!

We went to pick up Zac and brought him a balloon to share the news. Barbara got it right away, Zac took a minute to understand that the baby in Mommy's tummy was in fact a little sister. He had been saying "girl and sister" for a few weeks. He is excited one moment and indifferent the next. I am curious to see how he reacts when there is a baby in Mommy's arms and in the room next to door.
