A 3 year tradition for Halloween is visiting Grandparents and Daddy at work. Zac was more than willing to wear his costume if it meant Kay was giving him candy. He was happy to sit in Grandpa Norm's lap if he was opening the candy too.
Daddy got lucky in that Zac was willing to sit with him at all, but no smiles he was too busy eating his candy.
Jordyn and Barbara joined us for some trick or treating at the office.
One quick pose with Mommy.
He wanted to sit on Daddy's tall chair, because he is a big boy. (Do you see the arm around Doug's neck, yep Daddy put his arm around Zac so Zac did the same to Daddy.)
We also went trick or treating at the Mall. I have never done this before and I think it is the busiest I have ever seen South Town. Zac caught on to the concept quickly and soon any adult standing he held open his bag for treats, even those who weren't giving it away! If there was more than one person at the door than surely they must all want to put a treat in his bag. By the end he got better at saying "Trick or treat" and "Thank you".
While we were out in our neighborhood we ran in to some of his friends. Jaxxon was a bum and Heath, was a Heath candy bar! Zac loves his friends, but he always wants to hold Michelle's hand, she was Rapunzel (after her hair is cut).
I got smart this year and pulled him in the wagon. We were able to do our loop of the neighborhood, 3x the distance of last year, thanks to the nice weather and the wagon. As we strolled the hood we only had to ask to go into a neighbors house for one potty break. By the end he was excited blowing kisses, saying "Happy Halloween," "Trick or Treat" and "Thank you." Zac was thrilled to come ring our door bell last to Trick or Treat Daddy.
It was a fun Halloween! I am excited for next year to see how much more he understands and enjoys festivities of the holiday!
